Online Internships Available Now!

If you are looking for real work experience in, consider one of our available internship opportunities at Career In STEM. Internships are available for high schoolers, college students, and recent grads. Work as part of a close-knit team on resume-boosting tasks. Career In STEM interns work remotely (from home/dorm!) with a flexible schedule. We are currently recruiting for interns – scroll down to view available positions and apply now!

Number of Available Positions: 6

Location: remote (100% online)

Duration: one semester (with option to renew)

Commitment: 3 to 10 hours weekly (depending on credits)

Compensation: course credit only

FALL 2018 - Now Hiring for the Following Positions

Social Media Marketing Intern

  • Social marketing strategy development, execution, and support (primarily Pinterest, Twitter, and Instagram)
  • Generate, edit, publish, and share engaging content (e.g. original text, photos, videos and news)
  • Promote and acquire new subscribers on social media and connect with potential leads
  • Act as ambassador and liaison for company online and in person
  • Monitor campaigns and website analytics

STEM Education Intern

  • Design and implement educational programs and products aligned with industry needs
  • Act as a mentor to teens interested in STEM careers
  • Recruit new members (STEM professionals, teens, and STEM educators) to the community
  • Share your knowledge and expertise in STEM subjects with youth
  • Devise and implement user engagement strategies including original posts, challenges, contests, giveaways, etc.

Communications Intern

  • Copywriting and content optimization for website, newsletters, marketing materials, etc.
  • Research, write, and post weekly blogs
  • Write, edit, and proofread written communications including press releases, grant proposals, letters of inquiry, proposals, etc.
  • Plan and implement email marketing campaigns

POSITION HAS BEEN FILLED Business Development Intern

  • Develop business plan and strategy to increase customer conversions and retention
  • Prepare action plans to drive expansion of sales, leads, and prospects
  • Initiate and coordinate action plans
  • Conduct market and competition research
  • Reach out to STEM related businesses to develop and cultivate relationships


  • Create short educational and promotional videos
  • Research and create STEM career-related infographics
  • Contribute to company branding initiatives
  • Coordinate with we development team to optimize user experience
  • Plan and execute new digital media strategies to engage teenage site users


  • Leverage existing Career In STEM resources to plan a gamified platform
  • Define storylines, levels, point system, game mechanics, etc.
  • Initiate and coordinate game development in collaboration with web development team
  • Conduct market and competition research
  • Develop and cultivate relationships with STEM companies and nonprofits to be used within the game
