VIRTUAL JOB SHADOW
Welcome to your first day on the job! Watch this video to see what a day in the life of an Educator is like.
As a teen, there is a lot you can do to take the first steps to a career in teaching, right now! An easy way to start is by tutoring. Talk to your teacher or guidance counselor and lead an initiative to offer free homework help in your best subjects, perhaps in the library after school. This is a great way to build your resume, earn volunteer hours, and give back to your school community. Another option is YouTube – it is simple and free to make your own instructional YouTube videos and post them (with your parent’s permission of course!). As an example, here are some of my YouTube videos that I created to help my high school students. It doesn’t need to be fancy to be helpful!
